X-ray Computer Tomography (CT) is an imaging technique in which an X-ray beam rotates around to take cross-sectional images of a patient’s body (Tomographic image). In order to respond to the needs of clinics that desire quicker, broader, and even more detailed images of internal body structures, we have been developing area detector CT scanners, high-definition CT scanners that offer double the resolution of current models as well as other modalities that are the first in the world to be incorporated with the latest technology. For over half a century, since launching our first diagnostic ultrasound system in 1966, we have been advancing the technology and working with health care providers to broaden their use around the world. Diagnostic ultrasound is a radiation-free imaging technique that is used in many stages of medical care from initial diagnosis to follow-up. In recent years, ultrasound has become increasingly more useful as an effective diagnostic method for definitive diagnosis, treatment planning and therapy evaluation of patients with cancer and tumors. We developed Superb Micro-Vascular Imaging (SMI), a propriety imaging technology that can visualize blood flows and pathological tissues that were not possible before. SMI has received attention as a technology that can create exciting new possibilities for ultrasound diagnosis.
MRI is a non-X-ray diagnostic imaging technique in which a strong magnetic field and radio frequency are used to take cross-sectional images of internal body structures. Compare to CT, there is no exposure to radiation in a MRI scan. Our MRI systems feature proprietary PianissimoTM noise-reduction technology, providing quiet examinations throughout the entire investigative process.
